"Does it all have to do something with the law of attraction or positive thinking versus negative thinking?" - Eva came up with the new concepts that had started gaining weight in the mass psyche those days.
"If you really want something and truly believe it's possible, you'll get it... they say!" - I started laughing though I didn't really want to.
"Why are you laughing? Was that a joke that I cracked?" - She went a little apprehensive.
"No, I was just laughing at the stress they put on the word "getting", as if the universe doesn't have any other concern but for providing you with what you want, when you want and as much you want... it's a farce that actually inflates your ego and does nothing else!" - I again started laughing, this time rather intentionally.
"But you only said that everything was seeking self pleasure at an individual level, unaware of the fact that it was ultimately the universe seeking pleasure through it to play the game of life like a maze..." - She reminded me of my own words that I had uttered a few moments back.
"I had talked of seeking pleasure in the sense of everything and everyone seeking their way out of this intrigue into their totality that lies into the simple oblivion outside the labyrinth..." - I reminded her of my total assertion that I had stated.
"So do you mean to say that really wanting something and truly believing it's possible doesn't go with what the universe is seeking for?" - She caught hold of its subtle thread now.
"Exactly, that's what I mean to say. When you seek in accordance with what the universe is seeking for, you just don't WANT anything at all; what to say of BELIEVING it's possible... and GETTING it for you! And they say the law of attraction has its roots in quantum physics according to which thoughts have an energy which attracts whatever it is the person is thinking of... and hence positive thinking attracts positive outcomes whereas negative thinking attracts negative. I simply ask them if they can get the Schrödinger's cat alive out of its box for sure by the sheer force of their thought to want it by believing it's possible to get it alive! Nothing can be farther from the principles of quantum physics as the law of attraction or else positive thinking versus negative thinking are..." - I stopped as I felt I had spoken a little bit too much in one single go without caring for what Eva had to say about it.
But she didn't have to, as I found her smiling at me with love in her eyes...
