"At times I doubt if I love you or I love money more... mad money making the mad world we are doomed to live in!" - I was still under the sad spell of Eva's imminent departure.

"Everyone seems to be out there to love money like crazy... why on earth did we invent it at all?" - Eva was combing my hair with her fingers while I was still lying in her lap, scared of parting with her as she was to go to earn money for her survival.

"We didn't invent money out of nothing in the thin air... first we invented the concept of owning things as separate from what others owned; and in the process, distanced ourselves from one another identifying more with what we wickedly owned than with our fellow humans whom we had so innocently loved before!" - My eyes were stuck to those of Eva somewhere deep inside them where all ownership, all identifications, and all money concerns seemed to dissolve... to go out of existence... so that we humans MAY play the game of life as innocent as children do!

"We even owned the land we were walking on as well as the people walking on it along us whom we had loved once...! Are we crazy?" - Eva now had a streak of anger in her eyes.

"Who says we are not?" - I laughed at the irony.
"What?" - Eva looked into my eyes.
"Crazy! ... That money has turned us into... I love you... but I love money more... mad money in the mad world that I am living in!!" - I closed my eyes and hid my face in Eva's lap.
