"Are you talking about the origin of the universe as zero and the distance across the universe as infinity?" - I suggested another canvas to portray our pictures on.

"In time or in space?" - Eva again repeated her question, determined to play the game of life real precise.
"Both! In fact, the two are not very different from each other." - I issued a statement.
"What do you mean? The two are not the same!" - She immediately objected to what I had stated.
"The two in conjunction are called the space-time continuum." - I said.
"OK, how do you define time?" - She came to the ultimate basic first.
"Time is the distance between two events in space-time continuum." - I defined.
"Not between two happenings in time continuum?" - She wanted to get a physical feel of what my words were saying.

"Space is also the distance between two events in space-time continuum." - I added.
"Not between two objects in the space continuum?" - She again tried to make a picture of the new universe I was creating on her mental canvas.

I started laughing as she looked at my face, puzzled.
